Susan Patrick Benson is an associate professor in SIU’s Theater Department and is currently SIU’s voice and speech specialist. She teaches movement, voice, and dialects, and impediments. Professor Benson is an accomplished actor, having performed In Berlin and at many NYC venues as well as in regional theater. She won a Connecticut Drama Critic’s Outstanding Performance Award for her work in The Laramie Project. Benson is also a producer and a director, having directed both in New York and here at SIU. Benson is a VASTA member and was head of the voice/speech department at Weist-Barron School and HB Studio. She has coached dialect for regional theaters and off-Broadway productions and led workshops in
Germany, Montreal, Singapore, England and across the United States.
If you are unable to make a workshop you have booked, we cannot transfer bookings. You must cancel and rebook. If a member is eligible for a refund, you will receive an automated refund into your Actors Centre account. We do not refund onto payment cards or into bank accounts. Any refund will incur a £2.00 administration charge which will be debited from your Actors Centre account.
You can request 100% of the workshop cost refunded to your account, less the £2.00 administration charge, up to two weeks before the event or workshop’s scheduled start date. If you provide less than two weeks’ notice for a cancellation, the below charges will apply.
An 80% refund will be credited to your Actors’ Centre account and can be requested up to four working days (96 hours) before the event or workshop’s scheduled start. No refunds can be processed after this time unless we are able to resell your place from a waiting list.
