The Actors Centre

The Actor's Resonant Voice

WHAT IS IT? A practical workshop using a physical approach to engage you with your voice and your text, and connect these with your audience. HOW WILL IT WORK? As actors, we love to feel that resonant connection and be present with our voices. But how often do we feel like we are pushing instead of really connecting to the text? And how often do we try to sound like we think an actor should? This workshop explores the physical skills of voice work through finding you in your body, your breath and your resonant tone, and how we engage that unique individual sound via the text to the audience. Please bring comfortable clothing you can move in. Text will be provided. WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT? A practical application of breath, tone and resonance to strengthen the voice and create a dynamic vocal stage presence. Price: £30.
