Rebecca Tortora is a Lecoq trained theatre maker, writer, director and Artistic Director of Fit to Burst Theatre Company. She has directed new writing at The Blue Elephant Theatre, Soho Theatre and The Arcola Theatre. For Fit to Burst she has written and directed: Carnival Collectors and the Memory Machine, a children's theatre commission for UKCCA; Last Night I Met You Dreaming, an exploration of emotional disconnection and environmental destruction, presented at Ovalhouse; and #TheMarket, a grotesque comedy exploring consumerism, developed with East15 Acting School.
Fit to Burst is a small-scale theatre company that creates original shows, innovative participatory projects and surprising theatrical events. We combine magical realism, new writing, physical theatre, music, film and technology to tell fresh contemporary stories. We champion new work, dynamic visual aesthetic, artistic risk and experimentation in form.
Please note that during this period of closure, online workshops are non-refundable and non-transferrable, unless a workshop is cancelled by The Actors Centre, in which case you will be entitled to a full refund.
We cannot refund due to technical or connectivity issues. Ensure that you have a strong WiFi connection before booking a space on one of our workshops.
It is necessary to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow enough time to rectify any potential technical issues as we cannot delay the commencement of any workshop for individual participant concerns.
