The Actors Centre

Maximum Impact in the Audition Room

WHAT IS IT? A workshop exploring audition techniques for theatre with a specific focus on comedy. HOW WILL IT WORK? After discussing techniques to maximise your impact and success in the audition room, we’ll work on scripts published by Samuel French, using the two most common scenarios. First we will look at prepared sides (script pages) which will be sent to you before the workshop, and then you’ll be given SOA (Script On Arrival) to look over, sight read and present. WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT? An insight into the casting process - watching others audition and hearing the feedback. The skills you’ll learn in this workshop will be transferrable for auditions and castings in all media. Price: £20.
