The Actors Centre

Improvisation Skills for Actors

WHAT IS IT? A workshop designed to keep you confident and relaxed even when there's no script. HOW WILL IT WORK? Using improvisation games, activities and reflections, we will safely explore the edges of uncertainty. We will put a framework and vocabulary to the skills of improvisation, encouraging you to access more of your own resources. Get ready to adapt on your feet, to communicate, co-create and have fun. No previous experience of improvisation is required. WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT? In this interactive and experiential 3-hour workshop you will learn tips and tricks which will give you more confidence when you are required to make up your own lines on stage and in life. Under the guidance of Improvisation Academy director Paul Z Jackson, you will be ready to improvise better, whether acting on stage, negotiating with colleagues, or succeeding in interviews and auditions.
