Roll up! Roll up! For an all-female rollercoaster ride of high-energy comedy, puppetry, music, boxing and Punch and Judy as the sleuthsome twosome take down the Victorian patriarchy in Scandal!

Roll up! Roll up! Join us on this fin-de-siècle rattling rollercoaster ride as we wheel and dip through some of the infamous adventures of Holmes and Watson while tackling the tenacious and enigmatic Irene Adler! For your delectation and delight, the sleuthsome twosome will reenact their favourite escapades through the popular Victorian dramatic conventions of the day, exposing crimes, solving mysteries, cheating death and making it home in time to feed the bulldog!

Watch in wonder as shadow puppets recount the perilous tale of Holmes escaping Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls! Place your bets as the intellectual heavyweights dodge and weave with Lestrade and Gregson in a Battle of Wits boxing bout from a Study in Scarlet! Cheer and applaud as Mrs Hudson takes on the patriarchy in the Punch and Judy Show, armed only with a veritable variety of past cases, righteous indignation and a wooden spoon! Ooh and ahh as Holmes attempts to show how much an observant man might learn by an accurate and systematic examination of all that came in his way by guessing your – yes, your! – occupation, while trying to peddle a few boxes of the Book of Life down East Street in a Music Hall market scene!

Indulge in a gin cocktail and pork pie on Mrs H – just don’t ask after Mr Hudson or question what’s in the pie, and all will be well!

Specially commissioned for the British Council Pakistan, this production was created to travel like a Victorian circus, using portable costumes, props, lighting, sound and music to tackle political, social, historical and cultural issues for positive change.
