Have you ever felt like you’ve cheated on your other half? La Gringa has. They are half English and half Colombian. They are trying to balance their two loves. They are lost.
The Johnson-Garcia family are preparing for the arrival of their Colombian relatives after the death of their Abuelo, their Grandfather. Living a hyphenated life as a Colombian-Brit, or a Brit-Colombian, raises questions about personal identity.
La Gringa is a cross cultural and cross generational drama-comedy play that loves hyphens and being in between. La Gringa finds herself in between cultures, in between identities and longing for the meaning of home.
