Update to Cancellation Policy During COVID-19

Updated on 23 March: As of 23 March, The Actors Centre is closed for a period of 12 weeks until 22 June 2020. Please read the full statement here.

The Actors Centre is an unsubsidised charity which relies on our membership, workshops and theatre income to stay afloat and COVID-19 represents a very real threat to the future of our organisation. We receive no public funding and it is an unprecedented and worrying time for our staff who work tirelessly to offer a range of workshops and theatre programmes that support artists and engage audiences. However, we have always placed our members and audiences at the heart of what we do and during this crisis, that is what we will continue to do.

While, we would ask people to kindly consider donating this money to The Actors Centre to help ensure its survival, we will, of course, honour any last-minute refund requests in the below manner. Please allow up to 14 days for us to respond to your request.
 

Workshops for Members of The Actors Centre

  • From now until further notice, 100% of the workshop price will be credited onto your Actors Centre account. We are waiving the current 2 and 4 day notice periods in relation to credit.
     

Tickets for the Tristan Bates Theatre

  • We will accept any ticket refund requests and will refund onto the original payment method. We are waiving our current policy of no refunds or exchanges.
     

Postponed Events

All workshops and theatre performances will cease during this period, including Sticks and Stones which is currently running in our Tristan Bates Theatre, and the forthcoming productions of In Search of a White IdentityDream of a King and all forthcoming Latin American Season productions. The safety of our members, audiences and workforce is paramount to us and we hope to reschedule as many of these performances and events as possible, but please bear with us as we navigate through this challenging and unprecedented time. Our Front-of-House team will be in touch to process refunds.
