The Actors Centre, the UK’s leading professional development organisation, supporting actors throughout their careers, is delighted to announce that it will host an Open Day for prospective members.
Date: Saturday, 28 September 2019
Venue: The Actors Centre, 1A Tower St, London WC2H 9NP
Time: 10am - 1pm
Whether you are a professional actor looking to enhance your skill set, or an aspiring actor keen to develop the craft, this Open Day will offer an introduction to the Centre’s rich cultural legacy, as well as provide an opportunity to discover how it can help you further your acting career and establish life-long connections to the industry.
Throughout the duration of the event, stalls will be set up in the Green Room where attendees can speak to our sponsors and partners for the Centre and meet with the team to learn more about the Centre’s Actor and Industry membership opportunities, alongside its extensive workshops offering. Attendees will also be able to find out more about the Centre’s flagship theatre venue, the Tristan Bates Theatre, which showcases a year-round theatrical programme and provides an important progression route through the Centre for its members.
Running in each of the Centre’s five studios, will also be a series of workshops on everything from accent work and screen acting, improvisation, Shakespeare and career advice. Designed to give attendees a taster of the diverse and varied workshop programme at The Actors Centre, these workshops will run for 50 minutes each, with one running every hour. Each workshop will cost £5 and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Pending availability, attendees will also be able to book into workshops on the day.
The Open Day is free to attend, however if you want to book some of our taster workshops tickets are available here.
All attendees must be over the age of eighteen. Free tea and coffee will be provided on the day. Staff will also be on hand throughout the day if attendees would like to purchase an Industry Membership or apply for an Actor Membership.
