With a renowned career spanning over five decades on stage and screen, Joanna Lumley, OBE, is one of the UK’s best-loved and most-revered actors.
Following early on-screen roles in titles such On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), The New Avengers (1976-77) and Sapphire & Steel (1979-82), Joanna achieved cult status thanks to her iconic performance as the ineffaceable Patsy Stone in Absolutely Fabulous (1992 – 2012), for which she won two BAFTAs.
In 2011, Joanna received a Tony nomination for her Broadway debut portrayal of Princess Conti in David Hirson’s La Bête and in recent years has enjoyed a critically acclaimed career as a documentarian. Joanna is also a passionate human rights activist, as well as a vocal supporter and Patron of the arts.
