Statement on Reopening of The Actors Centre

Statement on Reopening of The Actors Centre

19 July 2021

Despite today (19 July 2021) marking the official end of Covid-19 restrictions in England, The Actors Centre will remain closed as a building for the proceeding months, with creative programmes continuing online.

As is the case for many arts organisations, the pandemic has had a devastating impact on The Actors Centre, forcing the organisation to make 67% of our roles redundant. As we are currently operating on a significantly reduced capacity, it is not feasible to reopen our building at this time.

We are currently using this time to reimagine what the future of the organisation will look like and we look forward to welcoming everyone back as soon as possible. Please stay tuned to our website for further updates.

Covid-19 represents the biggest threat in The Actors Centre’s history. Your donation can help safeguard our future. If you are in a position to donate, please click here to #SupportTheActorsCentre.

Thank you,
The Actors Centre team
