Written and directed by Ewan Pollitt and produced by Fellside Productions, Fission, a new digital play examining grief, reconnection and sibling rivalry will be available to stream on demand from 30 October - 8 November.
The play follows the story of siblings, Lex and Jack. When their father dies suddenly they both have their own plans for his ashes. But who their father was and what he really wanted seems to have been ripped apart, split between the two of them. As we learn more about their grief, Fission takes the audience from the mountains of the Lake District to complex laboratories of the nuclear industry.
Speaking about the play, Ewan said "At a time of such large separation and loss, I wanted to tell a story of what our loved ones mean to us, especially when they're gone. Fission shows how in a time of loss there is a chance for reconnection".
