Due to the incredible response from critics and audiences alike, the online run of Kate Maravan's The Old House has been extended until 3 January 2021.
Described as "a masterclass in acting and characterisation" by TheatreVibe, the production has garnered phenomonal critical acclaim since its opening on 4 December, with Love London Love Culture billing it as "a gripping and heart-wrenching" piece of theatre. The Reviews Hub observed how The Old House serves "as a guide to thinking out new ways of connecting meaningfully to someone with Alzheimer’s."
Inspired by Kate's own mother's journey with Alzheimer's, The Old House is a poignant story of reconnection and rediscovery, of meeting someone as the person they are now rather than the person they once were. Written and performed by Kate Maravan, the production explores how two women's journeys of loss and new found freedom are interwoven.
