Covid-19 Safety Procedures for Sunnymead Court

Covid-19 Safety Procedures for Sunnymead Court

14 August 2020

Tickets and Theatre Information

Social distancing measures will be in operation at the Tristan Bates Theatre and throughout The Actors Centre. There will be a max capacity of 28 seats for each performance of Sunnymead Court.

Tickets will be available in singles and pairs only. If you are attending the theatre on your own, please book a single ticket. If you are attending the theatre with someone from your support bubble/household, please book a pair of tickets. Your seats will be assigned upon booking and this seating configuration is fixed. Therefore, if your support bubble contains more than two people, you will need to purchase an additional relevant ticket group and you will be assigned separate seats as no more than two people may be seated together.

Arriving at the Tristan Bates Theatre

All patrons will be required to wear a mask/face covering upon entry to the theatre and for the duration of the performance (45 minutes, with no interval), except when consuming drinks. If you are seated in our Green Room Bar, you are permitted to remove your face covering, however in all other instances, a face covering must be worn throughout The Actors Centre. If you have an exemption from wearing a face mask/face covering, please let Box Office know in advance of your arrival at the theatre, so appropriate seating arrangements can be put in place.

Patrons will be asked to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of each performance, where a socially distanced queuing system and a guestlist will be in operation outside of the venue. To minimise contact, you will not be required to show your ticket, however you will be asked to queue outside the venue ahead of the performance. A staff member of The Actors Centre will require the booking name for each group and patrons will be individually guided to their seats in singles and pairs, according to their relevant booking group.

A number of tickets will be available on the door subject to availability however, advance online booking is strongly advised. Those who arrive at the theatre without a pre-booked ticket will be asked to queue in a designated area outside of the theatre and all on-the-door bookings will be via contactless/card payment only.

One-Way System

Please note, a one-way system will be in operation, which will be clearly demarcated throughout the building and there will be separate entrance and exit points in place for patrons entering and exiting the venue. Once patrons are admitted to the theatre, if you need to use the restroom or step outside before the performance, you must first inform a staff member on duty in the theatre.

For the safety of fellow patrons and for staff on duty, it is imperative that everyone follows the one-way system. Once the performance has ended, you are invited to move to The Actors Centre bar and you will be guided through the one-way system by a staff member, where table service and social distancing measures will be in operation.

Pre-ordering Drinks

While patrons will be able to access the bar following the performance, please note, upon arrival, you will be admitted directly to the Tristan Bates Theatre and it will not be possible to purchase drinks ahead of the performance. However, a pre-booking system is in place for drinks when booking online. Patrons are welcome to pre-order their drinks ahead of the performance and these will be delivered directly to your seat before the performance begins.

Sunnymead Court runs from 22 September - 3 October. Click here to book tickets.
