The Actors Centre

Happy New Year from our CEO

5 January 2017

What's coming in 2017

Dear Members,

We are very excited at the Actors Centre to have welcomed in this New Year with a BIG BANG!

Our first day back kicked off with the fabulous Gary Oldman in an Off the Record talk at Drury Lane. Keep an eye out for the podcast of this on our website, along with all our other talks we have done to date, which have been hosted by Paul Clayton Chairman of the Actors Centre. Do also read our Chairman’s Annual Report for a number of highlights in 2016, click here.

I am really pleased to be able to finally announce our new partnership with Casting Networks which will include their programming a selection of workshops this season and offering all members some great benefits. If you missed the newsletter on this then please check back to my email where there is a link to read again. This news, along with the announcement of our collaboration with Equity’s Play Fair season this January/February, promises to provide some great content and opportunities in our programme.

As always the team here works incredibly hard to deliver an almost round the clock programme of workshops, theatre productions, panel discussions and other events. I am constantly impressed with how the staff manage to juggle the many different demands on a daily basis. 2017 promises to be no different as we continually aim to deliver, improve and develop our service to you.

It would be remiss of me to remind all members of the financial incentives that we offer on an ongoing basis, including signing up for our Future Pay system whereby you get your annual membership for £60 instead of £75, or the recommend a new member deal and get your membership for only £45. Recommend two new members and you will get it for FREE!

I would also like to take this opportunity to offer all members a NEW YEAR treat. The Tristan Bates Theatre is an integral part of the Actors Centre and we encourage all members to support the work we present in it. To help you along the way please do take up the special discounted tickets of £10.50 for GLOCKENSPIEL, a new play by Steven Dykes, from Wednesday 4 to Saturday 14 January. You can find the special discount code in my newsletter to you all – so check your inbox!

Last, but not least, we are grateful for your continued support in all that we do and look forward to seeing you in the Centre during the year.

Best wishes

Louise Coles
