Salary £19,500 - £20,500, Full Time, Permanent.
The Actors Centre is growing, and we are looking for a confident and experienced Duty Manager to join our dynamic team, to providing ‘above-and-beyond’ customer service and an outstanding welcome to visitors and members for the selection of workshop spaces and efficient administration of Box Office service at the Tristan Bates Theatre in the heart of Covent Garden.
The Actors Centre is the UK’s leading organisation for supporting actors throughout their careers. Our mission is to develop people who dare to create, through our values of innovation, empowerment and professionalism. At our own building in central London, actors can meet and network in the Green Room, attend workshops to develop their skills, or rent rooms and studios to develop work. The Green Room operates as an actors’ space during the day; in the evening, it is transformed into a fully licenced bar servicing both actors and the audience for our own Tristan Bates Theatre, which is part of The Actors Centre.
As Duty Manager, you will have excellent people and customer service skills, a good knowledge of databases and an ability to stay calm under pressure. Your proven experience in delivering high quality customer service will enable you to create a welcoming environment at the reception and the box office for members, theatre patrons and public.
You will be applying for this role because you are enthusiastic about the performing arts and about supporting actors, and also have a passion to grow our organisation by helping to deliver our two-year business plan. Working weekday and weekend evenings will suit you well and fit in with your life.
We very much look forward to hearing from you! Applications close on Sunday, 23 September 2018
