Help Us Re-Open and Make it to 43!
First, I want to thank everyone who has already helped us make it this far through the pandemic, especially all our members, associated artists and generous donors. Your support — though gifts, donated tickets, participation in online workshops, and positive emails — has meant so much, especially since I know you’ve been living though these unsettling times too.
Right now, I’m working with my small team making plans to re-open in some new ways after our sustained period of closure. Like many theatres, The Actors Centre is a registered charity however, we are not in receipt of regular public subsidy. We rely on our workshops, shows, membership income and gifts from generous supporters to stay afloat. Thanks to your support, we have made it this far in the Covid-19 pandemic, but to reopen safely for our 43rd year we need funds to commission some exciting new work, re-hire key staff, undertake vital repairs, and to make sure the building remains Covid-secure. Any gift you can make helps towards our 43rd birthday. And £43 or even £50, if you can manage it, will help enormously.
Audiences — whether they’re professional actors, aspiring performers, or people keen to see outstanding theatre — are at the heart of who we are and what we do. My small, but incredibly dedicated team are prepared to work harder than ever before to find innovative ways to reopen and re-engage — in real life and online. I’d love you to be part of that as well and if you’d like to talk to me about how you can help The Actors Centre to re-open, I’d love to talk. Until I can greet your personally please stay safe and positive and stay tuned to our website and social media for further updates.
