Message from our Artistic Director
This Autumn the Actors Centre is programming an exciting range of new workshops to enable you to expand your craft and inspire yourself with new challenges.
For those wanting to explore some classic texts, Michael Fitzgerald will be leading an intense and exhilarating workshop on Tennessee Williams' Night of the Iguana, while Luke Dixon will take an in-depth look at Macbeth. There will also be opportunities for you to work with exciting young practitioners including Al Nedjari and Colin Mace who will be leading a labwork course on Our Country's Good and the theatre of transformation, as well as Kevin Tomlinson who is offering a trio of exciting new workshops this Autumn, kicking off with The Artist's Way in September.
If you're focusing on TV and Film this Autumn, why not try one of our new workshops? Mark Street's one-to-one camera tuition and David Tucker's Eighteenth Century Period Drama are welcome additions to choose from, as well as old favourites such as Bob Bierman's Close-Up on Screen Acting and Sarah Punshon's ever-popular, You Already Know How to Act on TV.
Robbie Bowman makes a welcome return with his NLP and the Actor class and Frances Parkes returns with new tutor, Mitch Mitchelson offering a new workshop on Laban and Voice. Casting Director Sarah Hughes is offering a TV Drama audition class for a small group as well as a Casting Q&A. For those of you who want to develop exciting new work, Jeremy Stockwell's Happy as Larry workshop is one to look out for. We're glad to see Rikki Beadle-Blair return for his weekly one-to-one Career Clinic sessions along with Nathan Osgood's weekly Working class.
For our Introductory members, our ongoing weekly classes continue on Mondays and Thursday as well as one-off courses such as our showcase workshop in September and October led by Caroline Byrne and Luke Dixon. For more information view our Introductory Members page.
